I invite you to follow my watercolor adventures.
I decided I wanted to show my paintings so I chose a very high falutin’ venue: the Saco River Farmer’s Market. I put up almost 60 paintings and some friends and strangers took a look at my stuff.
I even sold 2 small paintings. To my market booth neighbors. It was fun but a lot of work, possibly because I over complicate things.
Here is a picture of my booth set up at home in preparation:
This Saturday I’m going to put 60 of my paintings on display, most of them for sale.
I’ve cramped up my hand cutting mats the past 2 weeks.
I’m excited just to create a showing of my work. God only knows if any of them will sell.

I started on a complete version in class today:
I took out a study I started way back of a portrait of Hilary:
I decided to finish it.
Now I’ll do a final from this photo:
Here’s my second picture for the Duomo series (Santa Maria Del Fiore, Florence)
Photo taken from over the railing and down from the cupola.
I ‘m choosing my next subject and I thought about this painting I did in the Fall.
The duomo cupola at Santa Maria del Fiore
I took a lot of photos of the Duomo in Florence from different locations and distances. I’ve been imagining doing a set of paintings from those photos.
Here are some:
